Features Welcome to my Web Site. I am a Freelance Journalist specialising in Science, Technology and Current affairs. Oscar Wilde in one of a number of quotes on Journalism wrote "The public have an insatiable curiosity to know everything, except what is worth knowing. Journalism, conscious of this, and having tradesman-like habits, supplies their demands".

In keeping with the Oscar Wilde theme, would a contemporary Wilde as well as his genius, also declare the URL of his personal Blog? Would distinguished writers including Beckett, Joyce and Shaw were they to be alive today, also be lured to the Internet to exploit its potential for mass readership and instant communication? Perhaps they would be motivated less by commerce but more by a desire to be read and surely it is this desire to be read that writers universally, covet most? Please read on!

Features The Daily newspaper by Rupert Murdoch's News Corp launches on the iPad. Will this revolutionise the way news is produced and consumed or will it flounder in the sea of iPad news apps?

Politics Read my article on our beleaguered Taoiseach Brian Cowen who is still standing despite being buffeted by economic catastrophe and political misfortune. There is also a feature on First Minister Peter Robinson and First Lady Iris Robinson, who for now seem to have recovered from an expose of their private affairs. See also a feature on the unrelenting quarrel between Nationalist and Unionist where the latest spat over the devolution of policing and justice powers from Westminster to Stormont seems to have been resolved to the satisfaction of the majority of Unionist and Nationalist.

Sport Tiger Woods got a easy ride in his press conference at the Masters where media access is tightly controlled. In future public outings, how well will he cope with other journalists who are hungry, relentless, fearless and generally merciless celebrity stalkers who will stop at nothing to bag that exclusive story or photograph?
